The head spins to enter the dreamscape that is Mellany's world. Clouds loom large and spell danger or softly whisper a melody. Landscapes appear like architecture and architecture appears like landscapes. The vision is precise. The 'good eye' is always turned on. People seem to either be possessed as in a trance or perhaps caught in a melancholy instant. Captured in a moment of time that existed solely for the purpose of being photographed by Mellany. Nothing escapes the treatment of Mellany's vision of a world gone to the imagination of the artist deep in contemplation.

Mellany's techniques are time honored: See real life happening / compose / click the shutter and behold the truth. Her photographs are processed in the manner of 'traditional' 'dry' photography, that is to utilize in a historical sense how photographs are rendered, using digital tools and additionally, High Dynamic Range processes. Her sense of technique is rudimentary ... her style is anything but. She combines her passion for Photography with her love of travel, always keeping "The Good Eye" open. Composition is second nature. Easy. So it appears. She makes storytelling a divine thing.
